|1922||Wilhelm Ludwig founds as a broker for overseas timber and European hardwoods the company W. Ludwig & Co.|
|1929||„Black Friday” on the New York stock exchange, company breakdowns also in the wooden branch. W. Ludwig & Co. becomes general importer for the Czech United Forest industry.|
|1943||Complete destruction of the main office and move in the Burchardstreet. In March, 1945 these company offices were also met by bombs.|
|1949–1957||Ludwig & Co, is the exclusive importer of softwood logs and sawn timber from Czechoslovakia.|
