1922 Wilhelm Ludwig founds as a broker for overseas timber and European hardwoods the company W. Ludwig & Co.
1929 „Black Friday” on the New York stock exchange, company breakdowns also in the wooden branch. W. Ludwig & Co. becomes general importer for the Czech United Forest industry.
1943 Complete destruction of the main office and move in the Burchardstreet. In March, 1945 these company offices were also met by bombs.
1949–1957 Ludwig & Co, is the exclusive importer of softwood logs and sawn timber from Czechoslovakia.
1962 Wilhelm Ludwig takes over the leadership of the group for the import timber business in Romania.
1963 Peter Ludwig joins the company and later took over the chairmanship of the group import timber for Czechoslovakia.
1966 To the wooden import comes the wholesale firm in the today’s company office at the Billbrookdeich..
1989 Peter Ludwig died unexpectedly. Kai – Henning Ludwig joins the company.
1994 First own employees in Eastern Europe.
2002 Start of own plywood imports, today’s main source of revenue.
2007 Start of the direct import of Siberian larch planed products from Siberia.
