As a third-generation family business, we have been thinking day by day for one hundred years that our timber trade must have a future. With a natural, renewable and pollutant-free raw material wood, which is also CO₂-neutral. Despite these natural advantages of wood as a raw material, forestry logging remains an intervention in nature. That is why it is an important task for us to reconcile the economic advantages and ecological benefits of wood as a raw material.
Ludwig & Co. supports the goals of organizations that promote the prudent use of wood as a natural resource. Two competing certificates exist for this purpose, FSC® (FSC® C108302) and PEFC (PEFC/04-31-3682), both of which pursue the goal of responsible forest management.
